Robert's background is rooted in problem-solving and fostering unity toward common goals.
Born in Northern California, Robert's modest upbringing instilled values of faith, hard work and community. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, setting the stage for a remarkable career in medical device technology.
As a devoted father who raised three children independently, Robert knows the importance of community involvement. He served as a Cub Master for the Boy Scouts of America and later as an engineering instructor at a local Junior College, nurturing young minds. Robert moved to Waxhaw with his wife and two step kids who love their new schools.
Robert's commitment to Waxhaw lies in preserving its unique character and safeguarding the interests of all its residents. He supports responsible development that enhances the town's charm without imposing new taxes or straining infrastructure. Commissioner Brenda McMillon believes it is important for government officials to be accountable and accessible to the citizens of Waxhaw and will bring a common-sense approach with a dedicated work ethic to the Board. She understands the need to implement planning and vision together with policies and procedures.
Commissioner McMillon recently served on Waxhaw's Planning Board. She has worked in the North Carolina school system, as a Union County Board of Education Approved Substitute Teacher; has been active in the school system, having served on Kensington Elementary, Cuthbertson Middle and Cuthbertson High Schools site-based management team, where members are involved in the decision-making process for the school; PTSO member / committee representative, proctor; Community HOA transition team member; Samaritan's Feet volunteer. Brenda is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., a not-for-profit Greek-lettered sorority of college educated women dedicated to public service.

Susanna Wedra, originally hailing from New York, found her heart and home in the picturesque town of Waxhaw in 2014. With a desire to provide her children, Nicholas and Julianna, with a childhood reminiscent of their own, centered around family, community, and faith, Susanna and her husband Errol made the life-changing decision to settle in Waxhaw.
Armed with a Bachelor's Degree in International Business from Hofstra University, Susanna gained valuable experience in problem-solving, leadership, and budgeting in the business world. However, her passion led her back to school, earning a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Long Island University. This began a fulfilling career as an educator in the New York City school system, later continuing on Long Island.
Susanna's dedication to education extends beyond the classroom, as she currently serves as a substitute teacher in Union County and is actively involved in the Union County School Superintendent's Parent Advisory Council. Her commitment to ensuring student success and her participation in the North Carolina Portrait of a Graduate Committee showcase her dedication to education and the community.

Richard Daunt, a dedicated family man and an ardent advocate for truly representative government, serves as a Town of Waxhaw Commissioner with an unwavering commitment to the welfare of his constituents. A proud resident of the Millbridge community in Waxhaw since 2020, Richard quickly established himself as a vocal presence in local government affairs. He actively voiced his concerns at UCPS BOE and Union County Commissioner meetings, ultimately fostering a network of engaged citizens.
Richard's journey into politics was shaped by his experiences during the 2022 election campaigns, where he worked tirelessly to support principled and moral candidates. Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, he boasts a distinguished 23-year career in the information technology sector, currently holding the position of Assistant Vice President and Senior Cyber Security Analyst.
Originally hailing from New Zealand, Richard and his wife Denise have called Waxhaw home since 2020. They chose this charming town for its rural beauty, strong family values, and excellent schools, where their two sons currently receive their education. Richard's deep faith guides his approach to life, and he cherishes his role as a husband and father.
As a naturalized U.S. citizen since 2008, Richard appreciates the constitutional safeguards of individual liberty that America offers. He is proud to serve as a Waxhaw Commissioner alongside like-minded individuals who prioritize community service, fiscal responsibility, sustainable growth, and the preservation of Waxhaw's historic charm. Commissioner Tracy Wesolek plans on being the voice for the citizens of Waxhaw by maintaining open communication and transparency with her constituents. Her goal in the office is to maintain the small town feel of Waxhaw while using smart growth plans. She is a strong supporter of small business and believes in being fiscally conservative with the taxpayer's money.
Prior to the election, Commissioner Wesolek was serving her second term on Waxhaw's Board of Adjustment. She has volunteered at several Waxhaw schools and has been a Girls on the Run coach and a member of the Waxhaw Woman's Club.
Commissioner Wesolek has lived in Waxhaw for 4 years and has 3 children. She enjoys gardening and is a NC Master Gardener.

Commissioner Jason Hall brings an analytical-driven approach and a committed work ethic to Waxhaw. He believes that government officials are public servants who should be accountable, transparent, and accessible to the citizens they represent.
Throughout his professional career, Jason has worked as a critical thinker in conducting technology assessments for the largest counties and Federal agencies in North America. He has worked with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, the Department of the Interior, and private and public sectors to deploy highly regulated systems.
Jason is the founder and CEO of Waxhaw-based McCloy Hall & Co., an information management consulting agency. Jason holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Business Administration from Barry University in Miami, Florida, and a Certificate of Project Management from Virginia Polytechnic and State University.
