Commissioner Tracy Wesolek plans on being the voice for the citizens of Waxhaw by maintaining open communication and transparency with her constituents. Her goal in office is to maintain the small town feel of Waxhaw while using smart growth plans. Her second term will focus on improving the walkability and connectivity of town streets and sidewalks, and maintaining a safe and sustainable environment for citizens. 

Commissioner Wesolek served on the Waxhaw Board of Adjustment and volunteered at several Waxhaw schools, has been a Girls on The Run coach and was a member of the Waxhaw Woman’s Club. 

Commissioner Wesolek has lived in Waxhaw for 8 years and has 3 children and works in Artificial Intelligence. She enjoys gardening and is a NC Master Gardener. A breast cancer survivor, she now volunteers as a breast cancer awareness advocate for several non-profits.
